My husband Jim & I would love to have a child, if not children. LOL...
We have plans in the works. I had tubal ligation when I was young for health reasons. I have regretted that decision since. We plan to breed my service German Shepherd females next year. The puppy sales would help me have the tubal reversal surgery plus have enough money left over for all costs involved in raising a child. We tried adopting, but according to the state law, you can't adopt a child if you are over the age of 45 (which my husband is). I understand the state's reasons why in case my husband should pass away someone needs to be able to provide for the child. The only option my husband & I have is the tubal reversal surgery. A friend of mine is encouraging my husband & I to become foster parents. My friend says that sometimes the state will ask foster parents to adopt kids. The only risky part is getting your heart broken by giving a foster child back to the original parent(s). So, my husband & I are thinking about becoming foster parents to.

I think it odd that social services will let foster parents adopt a child or two after the child has lived in the foster home for a year or more. Yet they won't let you adopt after the age of 45? Weird!

Anyways, there are plans in the works for my husband & I to have a child. I look forward to hearing from other parents. And in the near future to possibly share my own parenting stories. LOL... It should be fun!
